Skincare

The importance of skincare cannot be understated, and involves more than simply what is applied to skin topically; it includes good eating habits, and plenty of sunscreen to protect against the sun’s harmful rays, as well. Although some sun damage is not a health threat but merely cosmetic, such as age spots, freckles, wrinkles and benign growths, unchecked life-threatening precancerous or cancerous growths are a real concern, so it’s a healthy habit to visit a dermatologist for a yearly skincare check.

Daily facial cleaning with a proper cleanser and avoiding over-washing to prevent removing too many of the skin’s natural oils are also recommended. New, innovative, advances in topical treatments in the quest for younger-appearing skin, can also be included in a skin care routine.
