Radiofrequency

Radiofrequency is an energy treatment used in medicine for over seventy-five years; more recently cosmetically, as well. This aesthetic technique heats tissue and stimulates the production of subdermal collagen, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is an ideal non-surgical method to address early signs of sagging or loose skin, and is best suited to those with mild to moderate facial tissue sagging, as well as that in other problematic areas of the body. It is effective with all skin colours. Most commonly it is used in addressing forehead, under-eye area, cheeks, mid-face, jaw, jaw-line, and neck.

Possible side effects include pain necessitating sedation during treatment, although this is not common. Extreme care must be taken when performing this procedure, to avoid uneven skin texture resulting from how the skin heals. The downtime is minimal, and most will notice at least a mild improvement.
