Laser Rejuvenation

Laser rejuvenation, or laser skin resurfacing, is an outpatient procedure conducted by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist to minimise signs of age. It removes the skin layer by layer, allowing new skin cells to form as it heals, creating a more youthful complexion. Individual wrinkles around the eyes, forehead and mouth may be treated, as well as the entire face.

At least ten days prior to experiencing laser rejuvenation, it is important to cease taking any medications or supplements that can affect blood clotting. Two weeks prior to treatment, it is recommended that patients stop smoking. Following the procedure, itching and swelling are likely to occur.
